We challenge people to spend at least 15 minutes every day alone with God.  That means to silence the phone, turn off the music, TV, or computer, and find a quiet place where you can focus all of your attention on God. This could be in the morning before the kids wake up, in your vehicle before you go into the office, or at a park during your lunch break.  Just pick a place where you know you can spend uninterrupted time alone with God.  You can read from the Bible, write in a journal, pray—ultimately the time is yours to do whatever you feel works best for you—just make sure you take time to listen to God.

God’s Word, otherwise known as the Bible, is the supreme source of truth for Christian beliefs about living. The Bible is a guide for our feet and a light for our path (Psalm 119:105). It is inspired by God and it corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right (2 Timothy 3:16). It is God’s words written specifically to guide us through life.

Our relationship with Jesus Christ like any other relationship takes work. If we are not actively seeking to strengthen our relationship with Jesus that means we are doing the only other possible option, weakening it. One of the best ways to grow in our faith and relationship with Jesus Christ is to make reading the Bible a regular part of our lives.
