It is a privilege to have you worship with us. We hope that during your time with us your faith will be strengthened no matter where you are on your faith journey. Our goal is to create a safe and barrier free experience so that people can be one step closer to Christ by welcoming, informing, and serving our guests. We want you to feel comfortable when you join us so below we have put together some frequently asked questions so that you know what to expect before you even arrive.
In-person and online Sunday worship begins at 10:00 am.
The church is located at 213 East South A Street; Gas City, IN 46933. If you are familiar with Gas City, IN we are located directly behind the Webb's Furniture and Mick's Flea Market businesses on the main street that goes through Gas City.
The main parking lot is just West of the building. We have designated guest parking spaces available right by the entrances to the building. We also have parking upfront for expecting mothers and families with young children.
The worship gathering has a very relaxed feel. The worship music is a mixture of contemporary songs and hymns led by our worship band and organist. The messages are relevant to people's everyday lives and can be understood without needing to spend five years learning the "Christian" language.
The easy answer to this question is simply: clothes. We have a come as you are policy. If you want to wear a suit and tie, great. If you want to wear shorts and a t-shirt, great. So come dressed however you feel comfortable and you will fit right in.
We only have two expectations for our guests (1) to fill out the connection card (2) and provide us with feedback about your experience during your time with us so we can continue to work to make our guest's experience a "wow" experience. We also understand that not everyone will feel comfortable with these things on their first few times with us, so please do not view these as deal breakers.
If you own a Bible you will want to bring it because the pastor's messages are grounded in Scripture. Do not worry if you do not have a Bible. There will be a Bible by your seat that is our gift to you. Take it home, put your name inside, and start reading.
Once you arrive there are two main doors you can enter through. One door has a ramp with a large red awning over it. This door will lead you into the front of the sanctuary. Please know at 10:00 am this door is locked for the safety of our children's ministry. The second option is a set of wooden doors to the right of the first entrance. This entrance will lead you into the back of the sanctuary.
During the worship gathering, there be a time of worship where an offering will be collected (note: due to the current Covid conditions we have "Joy Boxes" at both entrances for people to place their offering in). However, we do not expect our guests to give money. If you feel led to give then we thank you for giving and being obedient to God's leading, but as our guest, there is no obligation to give. As our guest we want you to simply enjoy your time with us without feeling any pressure.
The Garden is our nursery which is available during the worship gathering for newborns through 4 years old. We understand that not everyone will be comfortable leaving their children the first few times joining us. If you desire to keep your children with you during worship we are completely okay with it. There are changing tables available if needed in the nursery or the restroom in the rear of the sanctuary.
Kidz Life is our children's church ministry for children 5 years old through 5th grade. Children will start in the sanctuary with the adults and will be dismissed before the message begins. Children are not required to attend Kidz Life they are welcome to stay with their family.
We also have our 412 Youth Group that meets on Sunday evenings 6:30 - 8:00 pm for 6th - 12th graders.
